Luxury Dayboat With a Modern Design

A word from architect Michele Molino:
“The Tofinou 9.7, a modern luxury dayboat, was born from the Tofinou shipyard team’s desire to leverage the shipyard’s classic heritage and characteristic quality while incorporating technological innovation and design. This is why we worked closely with the worlds of industrial and automotive design to perpetuate the ever-popular Tofinou ‘family style.’ Its family resemblance remains unchanged, but its lines have been modernized to give it a more assertive look.”

From a technical standpoint, we sought a more powerful, wider hull, but one that was still transportable, to provide a more intense downwind sailing experience. With this new hull, we were able to completely redesign the deck layout and appendages to improve life on board and ergonomics during maneuvers.

The Tofinou 9.7, a “Neoclassical” Style

With this model, the Tofinou Shipyard has developed a “neo-classical” style thanks to the work of architect Michele Molino and the shipyard’s design office. The deck layout, inspired by Peugeot Design, is adaptable for solo or crewed sailing. The Tofinou 9.7 features an ergonomic and safe cockpit extending onto a rear swim platform.

The fundamentals of the Tofinou are preserved, including the recognizable varnished mahogany coamings, a signature of the shipyard. This model exemplifies the shipyard’s expertise in working with stainless steel, chrome, and a carbon fiber bowsprit.

The TOFINOU 9.7 is Equipped With a 15 HP Inboard Engine
This Modern Luxury Dayboat offers Three Different Keel Systems

To adapt to all bodies of water, this dayboat offers three different keel systems: a fixed keel, a pivoting keel, and a lifting keel combined with a single or twin rudder steering system. It is equipped with a 15 HP inboard engine which can be accessed from the interior cabin, or an optional electric motor.
